It seems like you aren't interested in this problem as you have bigger fish to fry. I was able to learn on the touchosc layout running on computer in a later beta just before learn/broadcast. The only time I can is when the plugin is first loaded - no map. I am trying to be able to learn with only touchOsc layout running locally on the same computer as REAPER, right now there is NO way to trigger learn in that setup. MM correct me if I am wrong, at this point, we can't trigger learn from the BCR, we can only trigger learn if we have an ipad with touchOsc running. I'm having trouble getting my head around how just one particular OSC action doesn't work with local, very puzzling. The thing is, with the keyboard you don't get a Surface context, which you need. Will there be any harm in using the new build even though I want to stay as is ? I don't think anything with this new template update pertains to me but I do surly want to stay up to date. And I don't mind at all manually making a map for a new plugin if that happens down the road. All the plugins I use already have maps they way I like them. In other words I have evrything pretty much like I like it. If I go with this new build and don't do anything will it mess with anything I have ? I'd really like to stay up to date incase anything comes down the road. Give it a try and let me know what you find. Just do the normal learn routine, move a control with the mouse for the param of interest, then move the Surface control for that param, rinse and repeat, then press save. This is powerful stuff, as long as you remember to put the | placeholders in, your template can be as complex as you want, different ring styles, colours, etc., are easy on a per item basis, since this is just the old school longhand. Notice, after mapping, how the Saved Template Zone - "VST: UAD Teletronix LA-2A Silver (Universal Audio, Inc.)" - now has the parameter numbers filled in. That's the placeholder for the param number. Look carefully at the CustomLayoutSmallCompressor Zone. ZoneEndFor something so easy to do, surprising how much it adds to the power of CSI. Code: Zone "VST: UAD Teletronix LA-2A Silver (Universal Audio, Inc.)"
